Common Questions
What should I do right after a leak?
Shut off the water main and turn off power to wet areas if it's safe. Move valuables out, take photos, and call us. Don't use a household vacuum on standing water.
How fast do you get here?
We dispatch as soon as you call. In most of Los Angeles that means the same day, often within a couple of hours.
How long does drying take?
Usually 3 to 5 days. We measure moisture every day and stop only when materials read dry.
How soon can mold grow after water damage?
Mold can start growing within 24 to 48 hours on wet drywall, carpet and wood. That's why fast drying matters.
Can I just bleach the mold?
Bleach can lighten surface stains but doesn't fix mold in porous materials or the moisture causing it. Affected materials need to be removed under containment.
Is water damage covered by insurance?
Sudden and accidental damage, like a burst pipe, is usually covered. Slow leaks and floods often are not. We help you understand your situation before work starts.
Do I need to call my insurance first?
You can call us first. Stopping the damage quickly is part of your duty to protect the property, and we document everything for the claim.
Do you test for mold?
We inspect for visible growth and hidden moisture. If you need lab testing or clearance testing, we can arrange it.
Do I need to leave my home?
Most of the time, no. For large losses, sewage, or mold work in living areas, we'll tell you if it's safer to stay elsewhere for a few days.
Will you work with my adjuster?
Yes. We share photos, moisture logs and the estimate, and we can meet the adjuster on site.
